About us

The Butt GmbH

Mobile yard ramps, dock levellers, dock shelters, dock houses, scissor lifts, industrial doors and customised solutions for the entire loading industry are developed and produced at our own manufacturing plant in Großenkneten, Lower Saxony, Germany. BUTT GmbH is a family-run, medium-sized company with over 90 employees.

An additional branch office was founded in Berlin, in Seefeld, in 1990. The company was founded in 1974 by the current Managing Director and sole owner Hans-Jochen Butt. The foundation stone for the succession of BUTT GmbH was laid with the appointment of Henning Butt as Managing Director. Hans-Jochen Butt’s son is responsible for sales and marketing and in recent years, has begun to give the company a more international orientation.

You receive everything from a single source: qualified teams are always available to assist! Planning, construction, production, assembly and distribution through to annual maintenance and inspection are all handled by our own employees. Our own vehicles deliver directly and work with integrated cranes to install products safely and professionally. In addition, our own vehicle fleet is always mobile for fast and smooth processing, maintenance and DGUV inspections, so that we can on site quickly throughout Europe.

BUTT is the market leader in Germany for ‘mobile yard ramps’.
